This Week in Call of Duty: Lunar New Year Event, Warzone LTM, 2XP, and More
Date: 2026-03-03 15:15:01
The content pipeline for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 continues to move at full speed. Each week introduces fresh challenges, limited-time modes, events, and rewards across Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame, and Warzone. With so much happening at once, it can be difficult to keep track of what’s live, what’s ending soon, and which modes deserve your focus.
To make things easier, here’s a streamlined weekly overview of everything currently happening in Call of Duty — including what to prioritize before the next reset.

Weekly Challenges and Must-Have Reward
As usual, a new batch of weekly challenges is available across all four game modes. The structure remains the same: complete any six challenges to unlock the featured reward.
This week’s unlock is particularly valuable. The FANG HoverPoint ELO optic is quickly becoming one of the most popular attachments in the game. Not only does it provide a clean sight picture, but it also grants bonus recoil stabilization — making it a strong choice for competitive loadouts and meta builds.
If you care about staying competitive in Multiplayer or Ranked Play, this is one reward you won’t want to miss.
Lunar New Year LTM: Luck Confirmed
Multiplayer is currently hosting a Lunar New Year limited-time mode called “Luck Confirmed,” a festive twist on the traditional Kill Confirmed format.
Instead of collecting dog tags, players gather Luck Pouches — and each one is worth double the score of a standard tag. Because of this increased scoring potential, Scorestreaks are earned much faster, leading to chaotic and high-intensity matches.
There’s also an exclusive incentive: win five matches in Luck Confirmed and you’ll unlock the Mane Character emblem. Since the mode launched before the weekly Thursday reset, it may not remain available for long — so if you want the emblem, now’s the time to jump in.
2XP and Double Gobblegums Event (Ends Feb 23)
A Double XP event is currently live and runs through Monday, February 23 at 12 PM ET.
During this period, players earn:
- Double player XP
- Double weapon XP
Zombies players get an additional benefit: a double Gobblegums earn rate. That makes this weekend especially valuable for farming progression and stocking up on consumables.
The 2XP bonus also applies to Warzone, making this a great time to level weapons or grind out camo challenges more efficiently.
Escalation Directive Weapon Camo Event (Week 2)
We are now in the second week of the Escalation Directive Weapon Camo event, which concludes at the next weekly reset on Thursday, February 26.
The event features nine challenges per mode — one for each weapon class — across:
- Endgame
- Multiplayer
- Zombies
- Warzone
Completing all nine challenges within a mode unlocks that mode’s Mastery Camo. Finish all four modes and you’ll earn the prestigious Incandescence Ultra Mastery Camo.
If you’re still working through the event, here are some efficiency tips:
Warzone:
Casual mode is the fastest way to complete challenges due to lower pressure and easier engagements.
Endgame:
One challenge requires a Combat Rating 30 character, so ensure you’re prepared. Picking up fresh weapons throughout the map can significantly speed up progress.
Multiplayer:
Face Off maps and Hardcore playlists are ideal for rapid eliminations. For the LMG challenge, equipping the Akimbo attachment on the XM325 can help maximize output. For melee objectives, the Ballistic Knife is especially useful — firing the blade still counts toward progress.
Zombies:
One challenge requires Instakill to be active. You can either bring the appropriate Gobblegums or, if playing on Vandorn Farm, trigger a free Instakill by shooting the top of the Silo structure.
With limited time remaining, this week is your best opportunity to wrap up unfinished challenges before the reset.

Warzone LTM Update: Casual Loaded Resurgence
In a slightly unusual move, the latest Warzone limited-time mode replaces standard playlists with a Casual version of Loaded Resurgence.
While the format remains largely the same, the key feature of Loaded Resurgence is that players deploy with their loadouts already equipped. This eliminates the need to earn or purchase them mid-match, accelerating combat and making it easier to focus on specific weapon objectives.
Warzone LTMs typically last only a few days, so expect this one to rotate out early next week.
Because you start fully equipped, this is also an excellent opportunity to finish any outstanding Warzone Mastery Camo challenges efficiently.
Ranked Play Continues
Ranked Play remains active across modes.
- Standard Ranked requires three placement match wins to enter the ladder.
- Warzone Ranked on Haven’s Hollow requires 20 top-six finishes to qualify.
- Casual matches do not count toward Ranked qualification.
If you’re looking to climb efficiently or unlock competitive rewards but are short on time, some players choose to Buy CoD: Black Ops 7 Boosting Service to accelerate placement matches or rank progression without falling behind the seasonal curve.
Looking Ahead: Mid-Season Update Approaching
We’re rapidly approaching the mid-season point. Based on the current schedule, Season 02 Reloaded is expected in early March.
The most anticipated addition is the new Blackout mode set on Avalon, which many players are already preparing for.
Until then, there’s still a packed lineup of events, camo challenges, and progression opportunities available this week — so whether you’re grinding XP, chasing Mastery Camos, or climbing Ranked, now is an ideal time to log in and make progress before the next reset.
